Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: April 22, 2026
Berlin Management Group, LLC ("BMG," "we," "us," or "our") respects your right to request deletion of personal information we hold about you. This page explains how to request deletion of your data, what will be deleted, and how long the process takes.
1. How to Request Data Deletion
To request deletion of your personal information, send an email to brad@berlinmanagementgroup.com with:
- Subject line: Data Deletion Request
- Your full name
- The email address, phone number, social media handle, or other identifier associated with the data you want deleted
- A brief description of what data you would like deleted (for example: "all comments I have posted on the Berlin Management Group Facebook Page" or "my contact record")
If you engaged with us through a Facebook Page, Google Business Profile, LinkedIn Page, or website form, please indicate which channel so we can locate your records.
2. Identity Verification
To protect your privacy, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing the deletion request. Verification typically involves confirming an email address, phone number, or other identifier already associated with your record. We will not ask for government-issued identification or sensitive financial information to verify a deletion request.
3. Response Time
We will acknowledge your request within five (5) business days and complete the deletion within thirty (30) days of verification. If the request is complex or involves multiple systems, we may take up to an additional thirty (30) days and will notify you of the extension.
4. What Gets Deleted
Upon a verified deletion request, we will delete or irreversibly de-identify:
- Contact records (name, email, phone, company, job title) held in our customer relationship management database
- Social media engagement records captured from public interactions on our Facebook Page, Google Business Profile, or LinkedIn Page, including the public name, comment text, and timestamp tied to your identifier
- Review content captured from public review platforms tied to your identifier
- Email, form, or inbound communication records you sent to us
- Analytics records that can be tied back to you as an individual
5. Automatic Deletion Retention Limits
Even without a deletion request, BMG applies the following default retention limits:
- Contact records: deleted after 36 months of no interaction
- Engagement records (Facebook, Google Business Profile, LinkedIn comments and reviews): deleted after 24 months
- Analytics logs: deleted after 26 months
- Email correspondence: deleted after 36 months of no activity
6. Limitations on Deletion
We cannot delete data that is not ours to delete. Specifically:
- Public posts, comments, or reviews you authored on a third-party platform (Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, etc.) must be deleted by you on that platform. We can remove our stored copy, but only the platform or you can remove the original public post.
- Records we are legally required to retain (for example, tax, audit, or compliance records) will be retained until the required retention period expires, after which they will be deleted.
- Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot be linked back to you as an individual is not subject to deletion.
7. Confirmation
Once your deletion request is complete, we will send a confirmation email to the address we communicated with, describing what was deleted and noting any records retained for legal reasons.
