A starter project, built around one task
You choose the task. I set up, test, and hand over a solution that fits how your business actually works. We start with the task, not the tool.
One recurring task, set up and tested. Customer follow-ups, quotes, job notes, weekly summaries: pick the task you repeat most. I write down how you do it today, then configure the right tool for it, often an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT, with your instructions, your examples, and a review step built in. I test it on agreed examples, adjust it to meet the agreed scope, and train you and your team to use it. AI output is a first draft, and you stay in charge of what goes out.
One workflow, made simpler and written down. Intake, scheduling handoffs, invoicing, paperwork: pick the process that keeps slipping. We follow one real job through it and remove the extra steps and retyping. I set up the templates and tools that support the new version, test them on agreed examples, and train the people who use it.
What a starter project includes
- A 30-minute first conversation, at no charge, to see whether a starter project fits.
- Scope and fee agreed in writing before paid work begins: the one task, what you will have at the end, and how we will test it.
- Setup and configuration: the instructions, templates, and tool settings for that task.
- Testing on agreed examples, with adjustments to meet the agreed scope.
- Training for you and your team in a working session.
- A handoff you can run without me: written instructions for using it, checking it, and adjusting it.
- Follow-up after handoff, as defined in your proposal.
- You keep what we build. Any AI subscription is yours and billed to you directly.

Can you help me set up ChatGPT or Claude for my business?
A starter project can do exactly this: configure ChatGPT or Claude around one recurring business task, test it on agreed examples, and hand it over with training.
How small a project will you take?
We can start with one recurring task or workflow. In the first conversation, we check whether the time, effort or errors involved justify a paid project. Starter projects begin at $1,250.
What do I get for a starter project?
A free 30-minute conversation first, a fixed scope and fee agreed in writing before any paid work begins, setup and configuration of the tool or process, testing against examples from your own business, a training session with your team, and a written handoff you can use, check, and adjust on your own afterward.
Do you teach me to use what you build?
Yes. Every starter project includes a team training session and written instructions for using, checking, and adjusting what's set up. The goal is for your team to run it, not to need us for every change.
Do I need an ongoing engagement?
No ongoing BMG engagement is required. Your starter project has an agreed scope and fee. Any required ChatGPT, Claude or other software subscription is separate and billed directly to you. Additional work is optional and scoped separately.

- Home services: an owner who retypes the same estimate follow-up all week gets a configured Claude setup that drafts it in the owner's voice from three bullet points, tested on past messages, with a review step before anything is sent.
- Property management: a manager who answers the same five tenant questions gets approved answers, a setup that drafts replies from them, and a clear rule for which questions go to a person.
- Contractor: end-of-job paperwork scattered across texts and email becomes one closing routine with templates, tried on the next few jobs and taught to the crew.
- Professional services: a weekly client update built from scattered notes becomes a ChatGPT setup that turns the notes into a first draft the owner edits.
If the first project helps
You can commission other improvements one at a time, whenever they make sense. There is no obligation to continue.
